Hi, I’m Kristin Cavuto, MSW LCSW IBCLC

As a therapist, I have always been excited to work with new families and with parenting. When I became a parent myself, I realized how much lactation support (or the lack thereof!) impacted a new parent's mental health and well being.

I became an IBCLC because I recognized the need for expert lactation help , and knew that my experience as a therapist would enhance my ability to serve families.

I have always loved teaching professionals, so becoming a speaker for lactation and mental health conferences and organizations was natural.

Being in front of an audience, teaching the subjects I care about deeply, is the most exciting and rewarding part of my career.

I started providing legal services because I saw a lack of expertise in both child welfare/social work and lactation. I began coaching other professionals in private practice after seeing so many of my colleagues suffering from lack of boundaries and burnout in their work.

My Approach

At Kristin Cavuto Consulting, I believe that families and the professionals that serve them deserve the highest level of expertise, delivered with warmth and deep understanding of their needs.

I offer a unique and diverse range of services that allows me to serve both families and the professionals that care for them.

My dual expertise as a lactation consultant and a therapist means that I can serve the perinatal client in a unique way. My work as a LGBTQ+ activist and anti racist means that I deliver culturally humble and individualized care to all of my clients
